THIS IS NO POEM. IT'S A PROEM.
Our past prepares and shapes who we are in every way. Both great memories and hardships alike. I spent over 15 years cultivating professional experience and expertise in an array of corporate environments, more specifically: client relations, people management, administration + operations, finance, with an extensive knowledge in real estate, development, and construction. This sounds like a bit of a resume, I know, but its important I give you some background on the technical foundations I’ve already laid out. I’ve learned a lot from the areas in my life that lacked true inclusion, support, or opportunity by making simple observations and understanding my personal experiences - to cultivate spaces meant to build opportunities for myself and open doors for others. Social and humanitarian responsibility has always been important to me as well and an area I’ve been working towards contributing more to. I came to a cross roads many times over those years with this inner whisper that kept growing louder and louder - I found myself where my highest purpose could no longer be ignored. I needed to switch gears and fully embrace my goals differently which brings me to arriving in this very moment of my odyssey.

SO YOU WANT TO WRITE A MANIFESTO...
It was 2 years ago that I decided to start writing a manifesto. I know, 2 years - don’t remind me. It’s hard to wrap my mind around at times; in all truth it’s been a long process, tedious, delayed, reviewed and refined about a million times. You know, we begin to make plans thinking we have everything figured out and under control but the world has a way of disrupting what we thought we knew and showing us what we need to know. None of the lessons and obstacles are ever wasted however. I had a lot of personal growth and healing to address as a part of this journey. To be honest I started devising my drafts long before my decision to write and develop the Refined Rebel as it is today.
Regardless of the number of edits, the fundamental reasons remained the same. None of what has come together is by accident or new to me. At every checkpoint and revision of my drafts an upgraded level and stage in the creative process followed, in part aligning to this very moment in time. Every challenge encountered personally and globally guiding me towards whats most essential and needed from me right now. I always say to myself “never forget why you started”, but I've upgraded that mantra by expanding my mind and adapting to the way the world has been shifting; going with the flow of the universe while using my intelligence to make wiser decisions. What at many times felt chaotic and emotionally excruciating helped me build on my original goals in bigger ways than I had even imagined.

All of this to say that, we are in the very centre of time and space in our human existence. This is our opportunity to shake up, change, and rewrite our whole story. It's the perfect time to take action and do the right things. Reality and illusions whirl all around us but this is the perfect moment in which to further explore our thoughts and realities beyond any past limitations. Beyond hate. We are living in a reality that calls for mass unity, empathy, and support. This is a zero tolerance zone for discrimination. This is a place to inspire, and empower. There is much work to do ahead and we all play a part in fighting for those who do not have a voice. Like many before me, I am here to add to the fabric of alchemy and healing through art, music, writing, and curating high vibrational experiences that invoke revolutionary thought and action.
REFINED IS THIS REBEL.
All the areas of my professional preparation came to a meeting point with my dreams and goals but something felt like it was out of sync. Change isn't an easy task especially during such chaotic periods. I still had a lot to restructure and heal in order to achieve the visions I always knew I was meant to bring to fruition. Shedding some of the realities that made me feel stuck and unfulfilled was a big part of the process and what sparked the inner revolution, a personal revolution I initiated 5 years ago. Let's note that I'm very much human and imperfect - but I keep my ego in check daily. I’m still learning a lot and growing as I should and I will never stop. I’m here to share my lessons and go through the phases with you. Leading the way today is my highest self, driven by my creative spirit while carrying all lessons forward. I’ve been up and I’ve been down, but I’ve never backed out. I've been writing poetry and music, I've been working on several creative projects, I've been building business ventures, and outlining how I am going to continue building cultural movements.
